The forthcoming hockey world championship in May is pushing hotel occupancy up in Prague. Hotels are reporting 59 percent occupancy for the tournament, which will be held in Prague and Ostrava, at prices that are 20 percent above the May average, writes the server aktualne.cz. Clarion Congress Hotel in Prague-Vysočany is claiming to be fully occupied, no doubt helped by the fact that it will host the teams from Canada, Sweden, Switzerland, Austria, Latvia, Germany and France. The Mark Luxury Hotel Prague, located in Hybernská street in Prague 1 is reporting 80 percent occupancy for the first half of May. The demand has doubled from Germans, Austrians and Poles, while it rose by 22 percent among Swedes.
