Holcim wants to expand its shared service center in Košice. The Swiss cement producer opened Holcim Business Services (HBS) in March with 61 employees to serve clients in Slovakia, Hungary, Austria and Poland. HBS plans to hire an additional 70 people and offer support to Holcim operations across Europe. Holcim has been considering 11 locations across the CEE region but chose Košice because of its educated labor pool. Local schools and universities are open to cooperating with the company, and the Slovak government will offer incentives, according to László Mócsy, the HBS director in Košice.
