Sofiane Benmaghnia was named CEO of Holcim Romania. He will replace François Petry at the beginning of April. Petry was recently named CEO of Aggregates Industries.
Benmaghnia has led Meftah Cement Operations, Aggregates & Concrete in Algeria since 2011. He was previously CFO of Lafarge Concrete and Aggregates in the Middle East. He joined the LafargeHolcim group in 1999 as a financial analyst.
Holcim Romania owns two cement plants in Campulung and Alesd, a grinding plant and a cement terminal in Turda, 14 environmentally friendly concrete plants, three aggregates plants, two special binders plants and a cement terminal in Bucharest.
