14 July 2016

Holiday home rentals are increasing in popularity on the Spanish market, with visitors favoring them over traditional types of tourist accommodations, according to a report published by HomeAway and the University of Salamanca. As the study indicates, the number of holiday home rentals rose from 34 percent of the total number of bookings made in 2014 to 36 percent in 2016. The majority of holiday home bookings were made by families (45 percent) and couples (32 percent), followed by groups of friends (20 percent), with the average length of stay being six nights and the average group size being four people.
