Sales of houses, land and apartments in January were almost 40 percent higher than the same month last year, according to data from the National Agency for Cadastre and Real Estate Advertising. Thus, in the first month of the year, 48,736 properties were traded.
The most real estate sales were registered in Bucharest – 7,635, Ilfov – 4,876 and Cluj – 2,889. On the other hand, the fewest properties sold are in Caras Severin – 186, Covasna – 199 and Olt – 303. The figures show that Romanians’ appetite for property is constantly growing, after December last year also increased by almost 30 percent compared to December 2019.
