Homes prices in Spain record strong growth

Spanish residential property prices have risen over the last year. According to market sources, at the end of September 2015, prices of home were 4.5 percent higher than the year ago in the same period last year. The y-o-y price rise in the third quarter of 2015 was sharpest in Balearics at 8.4 percent, followed by Madrid (6.9 percent) and in Catalunya (6.1 percent). The smallest increases were recorded in regions as La Rioja, or Navarra (0.9 percent and 1.4 percent respectively). The overall increase reflects an upward trends both in new real estates as well as in the second-hand homes.
