The German retailer of construction materials Hornbach, with nine stores on the local market, is opening a hub in Romania that will be involved in the creation of IT solutions intended exclusively for the German group.
The IT HUB will initially focus on projects related to the online store, later expanding to address other key aspects of Hornbach’s interconnected business model. The IT HUB is set to grow rapidly in terms of headcount. Thus, by the end of the year the number of employees will reach a double-digit level With nine stores on the local market, Hornbach recorded in 2022 business of RON 1.51 billion (+16 percent compared to 2021) and a net profit of RON 35.44 million (-36 percent compared to 2021). Hornbach Imobiliare is also active on the local market.
