The Hotel Praha building in the center of the town of Jablonec is to be auctioned off on July 30 in Prague. The building, well-known partly because Franz Kafka was supposed to have spent time there, will carry a minimum bid of CZK 22.9m. The auction is being handled by the Naxos agency. Along with a hotel, the building has office and residential space along with a restaurant and an impressive 19th century ballroom. The building was built in 1879 and underwent a complete reconstruction between 2009 and 2011.
