Hotel Praha in Jablonec to go under hammer

The Hotel Praha building in the center of the town of Jablonec is to be auctioned off on July 30 in Prague. The building, well-known partly because Franz Kafka was supposed to have spent time there, will carry a minimum bid of CZK 22.9m. The auction is being handled by the Naxos agency. Along with a hotel, the building has office and residential space along with a restaurant and an impressive 19th century ballroom. The building was built in 1879 and underwent a complete reconstruction between 2009 and 2011.
