House prices in Hungary increase further in Q1

Residential property prices in Hungary rose by an average of 5.4 percent in nominal terms in the first quarter 2018 compared to the previous quarter. This is a significant increase compared with the rate of price growth in the final quarter of 2017, according to the National Bank of Hungary. In Budapest, house prices grew by 5.6 percent in the first quarter in nominal terms, faster than in previous quarters, and by 16.6 percent in one year. In provincial cities, the quarterly growth rate was 5.5 percent on average in nominal terms in the first quarter 2018.
