Construction of new homes in Moldova in 2018 decreased by 21.3 percent from the previous year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics. Last year, 7,301 apartments and individual residential buildings were commissioned. Chisinau had the biggest housing investment tally with 5,660 units, totaling 383,700 sqm, commissioned last year. However, that total was still 31 percent less than the previous year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
