How much money did Dinu Patriciu with Minimax Discount stores

5 July 2012

The Minimax Discount retail chain, controlled by the businessman Dinu Patriciu, ended 2011 with sales of RON 433.7m (€102m), a full 56 percent higher than in 2010, according to data released by the company to the Finance Ministry and Trade Register.

One of the sources of growth is the chain’s expansion during the year from 44 units to 58 by the end of 2011. Minimax Discount sales per store increased from RON 6.3m in 2010 to RON 7.5m in 2011. However, at the end of the year, some of the chain’s stores began to close and in February, the company was placed in insolvency.
