Howoge is planning to develop from 250 to 300 apartments on the former Berlin Chemie plot between Straße am Flugplatz and Melli-Beese-Straße in Johannisthal. The 25,500 sqm of residential space was designed by the architecture firm Die Baupiloten which was emerged as a winner in an urban planning survey. According to Howoge, the concept will be used as the basis for a more detailed outline and will be integrated into the new development plan. The cost of investment has not been revealed yet.
