The US IT giant Hewlett Packard is to add 3,000 jobs in Poland by opening its new service centre in the city of Łodź. It’s another big location for the company in Poland. “We hope our activity in Poland will be growing the near-term,” says Jacek Levernes, a member of HP’s board. The center in Łódź is to provide financial services for the company, with the first employees planned to be hired shortly after the center’s opening. “The main factor while taking the decision was the city’s potential,” said Jacek Levernes. “We’ll wait for new investors inthe business services sector,” says says Marek Cieślak, the Vice-President of Łódź. “Mostly the big ones, though we’d be happy to welcome smaller companies as well.”
