Huawei plans to open a digital transformation hub for the Western Balkans in Serbia that it claims will provide a platform for local ecosystems developments. This project will cover digital transformation in the public, financial, education, energy and transport sectors. The Chinese company signed a memorandum of understanding with the Serbian government for the development of a smart cities strategy. The deal will make Huawei a strategic partner to cities across Serbia as it will offer cloud, network and platform technologies to analyze key data from city operations and management systems that will respond to governance and business needs.
