Huercasa investing €3m in new Romanian production factory

In an effort to increase sales in the CEE region, Huercasa is planning to invest €3m to develop a new factory in Calarasi near the Bulgarian border in southeastern Romania. The factory will go up on a 200,000 sqm plot, with completion expected between this November and March 2020.The Spanish food producer, part of part of Anecoop, anticipates that the new factory will boost revenues by 25 percent. The CEE region accounted for 80 percent of the company’s total revenues in 2018. Huercasa intends to unveil a new organic category, Express Slow Food, to the European market.
