A HUF 1bn investment is being carried out in Jászfényszaru which will see the extension of an industrial park. The city received a HUF 500m grant for the development of the new scheme which is located 40 km east of Budapest, just south of the M3 motorway. The rest of the project will be self-financed. The industrial park was established in 1998 and is currently employing 2,000 people. The project includes the expansion of the industrial park and the construction of a business incubator as well, with the investment to be led by Jászfényszaru Ipari Centrum Ltd. Hundreds of new workplaces are expected to be the result of the project.
