Human Society signs lease at 1255 23rd St in Washington, D.C.

The Humane Society of The United States has signed a new lease for 23,279 sqf of office space at 1255 23rd Street in Washington, DC. The building is located in the heart of the West End and within walking distance of Georgetown and and the Foggy Bottom Metro stations. The Humane Society’s new leased follows the sale of its national headquarters in Washington D.C. for $11 million this past January. Cushman & Wakefield represented Carr Properties, which owns the building along with MetLife. The lease starts in July 2016. ā€œWe are very pleased to be welcoming The Humane Society of The United States to 1255 23rd Street, and worked closely with them to craft a policy which supports their mission while respecting the operations of this first class office building,ā€ said Oliver Carr, CEO of Carr Properties.
