In the COVID gastro program of a closed establishment, the number of applications is increasing by hundreds. The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MPO), which grant title prepared and launched on Monday, the third day they start receiving records from 6200. Yesterday, there were 5,000 Entrepreneurs yet completed and filed 3351 applications, the rest is developed in the online information system , which the ministry strengthened due to great interest. The head of the ministry, Karel Havlíček (for YES), informed about the great interest on twitter .
Applicants for a subsidy from among entrepreneurs whose activities have been banned or restricted due to anti-epidemic measures can apply until 1 March. CZK 2.5 billion are ready for support. The Ministry of Industry and Trade estimates that approximately 100,000 entrepreneurs will want to draw subsidies.
The program was launched by the ministry on Monday and the system was facing problems. According to information from the Neovlivní.cz server, it collapsed after the start and the service was unavailable for most of the day.
The assistance of CZK 400 per employee or cooperating self-employed person (OSVČ) for each closing day is intended for entrepreneurs who, as a result of restrictions, recorded a year-on-year decrease in sales of at least 30 percent in the last quarter of last year. Each operation will be counted as many days as it had to be closed, from last October 9 to this year’s January 10.
The aid will be reimbursed for costs and expenses for operating and maintaining the business, ie personnel costs, material costs, leasing, depreciation, taxes and fees or loan repayments incurred from 1 February last year to 10 January this year.
The Ministry will be able to start repayment from the COVID gastro program of the closed establishment after receiving notification from the European Commission.
