Hungarian consortium to build football stadium in Budapest

A consortium of construction companies led by ZAEV Építőipari and West Hungária Bau won a $23m tender to build a new football stadium for the Hungarian soccer club MTK in Budapest. The stadium will be a 15,000 sqm, 5,322-seat facility featuring the latest sports technology on the market. Construction is scheduled for completion by the end of August, 30 days earlier than the deadline stipulated in the tender. MTK says it must achieve 80 to 90 percent occupancy level to consider the scheme a success.
