Hungarian GDP up 4.1% in Q1

Hungary’s GDP increased by 4.1 percent y-o-y in the first three months of 2017, according to the Central Statistical Office (KSH). Industry and market-based services were the main growth drivers, the figures show. According to the KSH’s seasonally and calendar-adjusted data, the country’s GDP grew by 3.7 percent from the previous year. This is the fastest growth rate recorded since the second quarter of 2014 and also the highest Q1 figure since 2006, according to KSH.
