The average gross nominal monthly wage in Hungary amounted to HUF 297,300 in June, up 14.4 percent from the previous year, according to the Central Statistical Office (KSH). From January to June, both gross and net earnings grew by 12.5 percent compared to the same period in 2016. A 15-percent increase in the minimum wage as well as a 25-percent jump in the guaranteed minimum wage impacted overall earning growth in the country, KSH informed.
