Unemployment in Hungary decreased to 4 percent between August and October, according to the Central Statistical Office (KSH). The unemployment volume averaged 183,000 over the three-month period, some 36,000 fewer than the previous year, the latest data shows. The unemployment rate was lower for men than for women. Between August and October, the jobless rate among 15 to 74-year-old men fell by 1.1 percentage points y-o-y to 3.5 percent. For women, the unemployment rate fell by just 0.4 of a percentage point to 4.6 percent, according to the KSH.
