The Hungarian unemployment rate dropped by 1.7 percent y-o-y to 4.5 percent between September and November, according to the Central Statistical Office. The unemployment rate among men between the ages of 15 to 74 decreased by 1.7 percent to 4.4 percent, while the rate among women in the same age group also fell by 1.7 percent to 4.6 percent. The average duration of unemployment was 18.1 months, while 46.3 percent of jobless people had been looking for employment for longer than one year, the data shows.
