Hungary honors Gazprom head

Viktor Alexei Zubkov, chairman of the Russian natural gas giant Gazprom, was recently honored by Hungarian President János Áder for his efforts to improve bilateral relations between the two countries. In addition to Zubkov, Polish Academy Award-winning director Andrzej Wajda and Hans-Gert Pöttering, the president of the German foundation Konrad Adenauer were also honored with the Hungarian Cross. Wajda was recognized for his contribution to Hungarian cinema, while Pöttering was credited for helping to improve Hungarian-German bilateral relationships.
