Hungary’s cash flow-based budget included a HUF 510.8bn deficit at the end of August, according to a report published by the finance ministry, reaching 51.2 percent of the HUF 998.4bn target for the year. At the end of August, the central budget included a HUF 589.3bn deficit. Separate state funds were HUF 81.8bn in the black, while the social insurance funds, by contrast, were HUF 3.3bn in the red.
