Hungary’s construction output falls 2.1% in April

Construction output in Hungary was down 2.1 percent y-o-y in April, according to raw data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH). Building construction output fell 1.4 percent, while civil engineering output decreased by 2.8 percent compared to last year’s high base. New contracts, however, were up 3.9 percent, with building construction contracts jumping 4.7 percent y-o-y, and civil engineering contracts increasing by 3.2 percent. Construction output fell by 0.7 percent y-o-y between January and April, according to KSH data.
