Hungary’s government to set aside HUF 32bn for railway projects

The Hungarian government is planning to set aside HUF 32bn in the 2021-2027 budget cycle to renovate 20 railway lines around the country. The railway projects set to get funding from the next financial cycle include the Nyugati Railway Station as well as the development of the Lajosmizse and Vac suburban rail lines. The funding will go toward the modernization of the infrastructure and railway services.
