A unit of Hungarian state-owned Hungarian Electricity Works (MVM), MVM OVIT has won a contract to deliver approximately 4,000 tons of steel structures to German utilities giant E.ON this year. E.ON had begun talks with 13 potential partners on the deliveries. Having evaluated them all, E.ON picked MVM OVIT to deliver around half of the steel structures it requires. MVM OVIT has the capacity to make 12,000-15,000 tonnes of steel structures per year.
