21 November 2012

According to Pál Kovács, Secretary of State for climate and energy politics said that Hungarian energy policy should concentrate on strengthening its distribution role within Europe. He said Hungary’s aim is to build greater energy security in order to ensure its independence. This can be achieved through infrastructure developments, he added. Hungary is intent on taking part in infrastructure projects such as the Nabucco pipeline as it has a constant interest in securing alternative supply routes for gas and oil.
