In an effort to maintain fast movement of goods, food and medical supplies, the Hungarian and Slovak governments have marked off places where residents can cross the Hungarian-Slovak border. People will need to provide confirmation from their employers at these border checkpoints. These designated crossing points include Čunovo-Rajka, Mercy-Tornyosnémeti, Šahy-Parassapuszta, Bear-Vámosszabadi, Štúrovo-Esztergom and Slovenské Nové Mesto-Sátoraljaújhely. The Hungarian government has decided to keep the Komárno-Komárom border crossing closed. Once they cross the border, foreign goods vehicles will be able to travel only along certain routes.
