The Hungarian government plans to introduce an electronic toll system in July. The State Motorway Manager (ÁKK) announced Getronics Hungary will oversee the project. Eight companies participated in the tender. In addition to Getronics Hungary, the other top contenders included T-Systems Hungary, a consortium of Kapsch Trafficom and Kapsch Telematic Services, and China International Telecommunication Construction Corporation.
Getronics Hungary had the lowest bid.
