Hungary had a €522m trade surplus in October, according to the Central Statistical Office (KSH). The surplus, however, was €275m less than the same month a year earlier. The national news agency MTI reported that exports rose 11.8 percent y-o-y to €8.887bn, while imports were up 17 percent, totaling €8.365bn. About 81 percent of exports and 75 percent of imports were traded with other European Union countries.
