Hyundai Mobis is to build a €95.65m factory in the Czech Republic for the production of car lights for Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors. The South Korean investor is expected to officially sign a deal with the Czech government on Tuesday. The new factory will be built near the city of Ostrava and is scheduled to be completed in 2017. It will produce head and rear lamps for up to 750,000 cars annually, according to Hyundai representatives. “We will have all key auto parts manufacturing in Europe when the headlight factory is built in the Czech Republic,” the company said in a statement. This will be Hyundai’s second investment on the Czech market. It also has a factory Nošovice, a village in the Moravian-Silesian region.
