Headlights producer Hyundai Mobis is planning to invest CZK 2.5bn into a new manufacturing plant in Mošnov, near Ostrava. Ostrava city deputies have already approved sale of 17 ha of land for CZK 1/sqm, while it will pay the investor CZK 65m as an incentive to created 900 new jobs in the Moravia-Silesia region. The server aktualne.cz quotes Ostrava’s mayor, Petr Kajnar, saying that CZK 180m will be saved on social benefits. Construction is set to begin next summer and should be operational at the beginning of 2016.
