ICU Medical sold its 7,000 sqm light production complex along with 3 ha of land suitable for development in Vráble, a city in southwestern Slovakia, to Tesgal. The price of the vacant facility, completed in 2010 for the California-based company, was not disclosed. The sale was finalized within nine months by JLL Slovakia’s industrial agency, which advised ICU Medical during the transaction. “This transaction underlines that current demand in Slovakia is not only focused on the large industrial parks – portfolio products, but investors also see attractive opportunities in single-tenant stand-alone units located in the Slovak regions,” said Samuel Šporka, head of the industrial agency at JLL Slovakia. The new owner, the Slovak company Tesgal, provides surface treatments for metal parts used mostly in the automotive and consumer industries. The facility is located in the industrial zone in the northern part of Vráble, in Slovakia’s Nitra region, offering good connection to the R1 highway. The industrial zone already accommodates production companies like Kongsberg Automotive, CESAM, Pall Slovakia and Semecs.
