ID LOGISTICS launches first branch in the UK

17 August 2023

ID Logistics has launched its first branch and warehouse in the UK. It is dedicated to serving the logistics needs of one of the world’s largest apparel companies. At the warehouse, located in Northampton – a region of strategic importance – ID Logistics is responsible for managing returns flows.

ID Logistics was chosen by a large global fast fashion clothing group to guarantee smooth and efficient returns management, in line with the customer’s expectations in terms of service quality. The choice was determined by the operator’s extensive experience in serving companies in the e-commerce and textile sectors.

The new agreement extends the partnership previously implemented in Poland by Spedimex, recently acquired by ID Logistics Group. The 18,000 sq ft warehouse in Northampton (between Birmingham and London) opened in June 2023 and employs over 300 staff. Its business is solely concerned with handling e-commerce and B2B order returns, with a particular focus on speed of response. Products, whose sales depend on fashion trends, need to be ready in the warehouse for relaunch in a very short time.

“We are very pleased to open our first branch in the UK, which is an important step in the development of our strategy in Europe. The investment demonstrates our commitment to responding to the needs of large, international customers to whom we can offer a comprehensive service in the European market. We are already looking forward to starting a close collaboration and being able to provide high quality logistics solutions to support their business,” Eric Hémar, CEO of ID Logistics Group.

It is worth noting that the team of the Northampton warehouse in handling e-commerce processes is supported by specialists from the Polish branch of ID Logistics.

“We are fully ready for new projects. ID Logistics’ extensive know-how has recently been supplemented by highly advanced logistics services for the fashion industry, thanks to the merger with Spedimex. This offers huge potential for further growth in the e-commerce market,” says Sylwia Dunn, Business Development Director, ID Logistics

The opening of a new branch in the UK is of strategic importance for the ID Logistics Group. It is one of the largest logistics markets in Europe and offers significant business development opportunities. ID Logistics intends to rapidly expand its business here, thanks to the trust of its international customers, especially in the field of consumer goods and e-commerce handling
