The IGH Institute and HZ Infrastruktura signed a contract on the supervision of works on the reconstruction of the Zagreb West Station – Savski Marof railway, a project worth HRK 5.3 million. The project is largely financed by a loan from the World Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), and covers work on a 17.8 kilometer section of the two-track railway line located on the RH1 corridor.
It’s a corridor that’s crucial for international freight and suburban transport, handling around 160 trains per day. Work is expected to continue for 30 months and will allow trains to run at speeds of up to 120 kilometers per hour. Along with greater speeds, the operation of the line will be more efficient and offer greater safety to passengers.
