Ikea Romania has established a fund for the urban environment valued at €75,000. The Ikea Fund will provide financial support for three years to three to five projects in Bucharest and Ilfov County.
“We firmly believe that a company can develop harmoniously only when it manages to make a difference for the better in the environment and the communities in which they operate,” said Mircea Ilie, head of sustainability at Ikea Romania. The program launched by the Swedish retailer will provide support for protecting natural resources as well as education and awareness on climate change. Project ideas must be submitted by Jan. 31.
