Vastint, part of Ikea Group, started construction on a mixed-used project in Bucharest’s Timpuri Noi district. Vastint Romania acquired the former Timpuri Noi factory, and the 53,000 sqm plot of land it sits on, in 2010, with the intention of developing a mixed-use project there. The scheme will include offices, commercial and residential areas, with a gross building area estimated at 150,000 sqm. Vastint secured a construction permit for the project a year ago.
Vastint Romania previously operated under the name Interprime Properties until it rebranded last year.
