Ikea is planning to build a production plant on the Serbian market. The Swedish furniture giant is reportedly in negotiations for a site in Zagubica, with construction scheduled to start in 2016.
Ikea opened its first store in Serbia in June and plans to open two other stores in Belgrade in the near-term. The company also intends to open locations in Nis and Novi Sad. In the SEE region, IKEA is present in Croatia, Turkey, Greece, Romania and Bulgaria.
