IMF approves BiH’s emergency loan of €330m

The BiH Council of Ministers has decided to distribute 62 percent of a €330m loan to the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while 38 percent will go to the Republika Srpska. Those entities will then allocate half of the amount to the Brcko District. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has approved the BiH’s emergency loan arrangement. The Council of Ministers also decided to cancel taxes on medicines, on equipment and on funds donated by domestic and international entities for the prevention, control and elimination of the coronavirus. It also approved the use of European Commission macro-financial to support Bosnia and Herzegovina.
