Tamás Fellegi, ex Minister of National Development meets Christoph Rosenberg, IMF’s senior regional representative for Central Europe and the Baltics at Washington for informal talks. The IMF told Reuters that official talks can not be expected, and that the beginning of talks was matter that was entirely up to the Hungarian government. However, the IMF is making clear that Budapest will have to be willing to demonstrate a willingness to make changes to its current legislation that would help guarantee the country’s macroeconomic stability.
