In August, the Philippine company IMI will start to build its new facility in southern Serbia. This will be the production of electronic car components in Lozni Kalem, in Niska Banja. By July 2018, the 12,000 sqm facility should be finished in buildings of 8,000 sqm and 4,000 sqm, according to Eric de Candido MD of IMI Bulgaria. De Candido expects that in the next 10 years, the company would employ 1,500 people in order to produce EU-compliant goods. Local government officials will be helping the investor to receive the necessary building permits as soon as possible.
