Immofinanz enters the residential market and plans to build 12,000 new apartments above STOP SHOP stores. The network has 100 locations in ten European countries, and one in Romania, in Botosani. In the future, Immofinanz wants to reach a network of 140 retail parks.
The types of apartments will vary, from family to office or separate units for guests or carers. The projects will have photovoltaic panels, geothermal energy will be used for heating and will have roof gardens.
“Given the deficit and rising cost of land inside the city and the current lack of housing, we have a massive resource with the help of the largest network of retail parks in Europe. With “Top on STOP”, we want to make the best use of this opportunity and to offer affordable, sustainable housing and we support the responsible use of land resources,” explained Dietmar Reindl, COO of IMMOFINANZ.
