Berlin-based IMW Immobilien is going to switch from the Frankfurt Stock Exchange’s General Standard to its Entry Standard. The reasons for the step down in prestige is the reduced the size of the company and its smaller share of the exchange’s total trade volume. According to IMW’s board of directors, the Entry Standard is now the most appropriate level for the listing in view of the costs involved in maintaining it compared to its market capitalization. A listing at the General Standard level is more expensive to maintain and is subject to greater regulation and reporting requirements.
