At the end of November, there were 1.53 million employees in Croatia, which is 0.6 percent less than in October and 2.6 percent less than at the end of November last year, while the registered unemployment rate was 9.3 percent, according to data published on Friday by the State Bureau of Statistics (CBS).
According to the CBS, there were 1,525,054 employees in Croatia in November, which is 8,837 less than at the end of October. Compared to the same month last year, the number of employees in legal entities decreased by 2.8 percent.
At the annual level, the number of employees in crafts and trades and free lances decreased by 1.2 percent. At the same time, the number of employed insured farmers, which at the end of November was 19,199, increased on a monthly basis by 23 insured persons, maintaining approximately the same number as in November last year.
The registered unemployment rate, which is calculated as the ratio of the unemployed to the total active population, was 9.3 percent in November, which is 0.2 percentage points more than in October. At the annual level, the number of unemployed increased by 21.9 percent.
