Hungary’s industrial output increased by 3.6 percent y-o-y in 2018, driven by the automotive sector, which was up 9.9 percent in December, according to data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH). The computer, electronics and optical equipment segment was up 17.9 percent, while output for food, beverages and tobacco increased by 3 percent y-o-y in December. Industrial sales also grew by 5.6 percent, with exports jumping by 4.4 percent and domestic sales up 7.2 percent, according to KSH.
