ING Bank acquires Pipera office building

ING Bank Romania has taken over North City Tower office building in Bucharest, which has been in bankruptcy since last year. The U.S. company AIG/Lincoln was appointed to be the property manager and leasing coordinator.

The building was completed in 2007 and was developed by the company City Holding, owned by businessman Dan Tatoiu and North Group, and controlled by Liviu Barbulescu.

Since ownership of North City Tower was transferred to ING, major upgrading works were carried out to increase its competitiveness.
The offers 13,000 sqm of total built area and 9,120 sqm of rentable office and retail space.

Among the companies that occupy space in the building include Puma, Strabag, Fokker and Tymbark. Building modernization will continue in the coming months.
