ING BSK will propose settlements to clients with CHF loans from 25 October

ING Bank Śląski will offer the option of converting a CHF-indexed mortgage loan into a PLN loan from October 25 this year, the bank said. The loan will be recalculated from the date of its disbursement, assuming that it was from the very beginning a loan granted in Polish zlotys, on the terms presented by the chairman of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF).

The Bank will provide clients with the option of submitting an application for mediation through the Mediation Center of the Arbitration Court of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority. The process will be free of charge. Clients will be able to submit requests for mediation via My ING online banking or the bank’s website, it said.

The mediation process can be used by clients who have a CHF-indexed housing loan or a CHF-indexed housing loan at the bank for their own housing purposes, excluding mortgage loans and the above-mentioned loans, where one of the purposes of the loan was to consolidate liabilities other than The mediation agreement can only be signed for one of the active housing loans, it announced.

The loan will be converted from the date of its disbursement, assuming that it was from the beginning a loan granted in Polish zlotys. Conversion will take place on the terms presented by the chairman of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority. Detailed rules for the settlement of the loan and determination of the type of interest rate for the future (periodically fixed or variable) will be the subject of arrangements in the mediation process before the Polish Financial Supervision Authority.

The application can be submitted at any time from the moment the mediation option is launched. The whole process is done remotely. The settlement will be signed at a bank branch.
