InPost recorded PLN 174.2 million of consolidated net profit from continuing operations in Q4 2021 compared to PLN 144 million profit a year earlier, the company said in its report.
The operating profit amounted to PLN 273.9 million versus PLN 235.8 million profit a year earlier.
InPost recorded PLN 523.1 million of adjusted EBITDA in Q4 2021, which means an increase by 46.7% y / y.
In the fourth quarter of 2021, compared to the same period of the previous year, the revenues of the InPost Group increased by 96.9% (to PLN 1,677 million). Of which 73 percentage points are the result of the acquisition of Mondial Relay. InPost’s revenue growth dynamics excluding Mondial Relay amounted to 23.9% in Q4 2021. In the same period, adjusted EBITDA increased by 46.7% to PLN 523.1 million, with 29 percentage points resulting from the consolidation of Mondial Relay, and 17.7% due to organic growth of EBITDA on the existing InPost markets, the company said in the report.
Consolidated sales revenues reached PLN 1,677 million in Q4 2021 compared to PLN 851.6 million a year earlier.
Throughout 2021, InPost recorded PLN 491.3 million of consolidated net profit from continuing operations attributable to shareholders of the parent company, compared to PLN 351.5 million of profit a year earlier, the company said in the report.
The operating profit amounted to PLN 826.4 million versus PLN 627.5 million profit a year earlier. The Group’s adjusted EBITDA increased by 63.7% in 2021 to PLN 1,626.4 million.
Consolidated sales revenues amounted to PLN 4,602.2 million in 2021 compared to PLN 2,528.1 million a year earlier.
The Group’s revenues in 2021 increased by 82% to PLN 4,602 million. Of this increase, 43 percentage points came from the acquisition of Mondial Relay.
On July 1, 2021, the acquisition of the French company Mondial Relay was finalized, making InPost the leading European provider of out-of-home (OOH) services for e-commerce with 609 million parcels delivered in 2021 on a pro-forma basis.
[In 2021, there was] an increase in the dynamics of the deployment of new parcel lockers on all markets of the InPost Group with an increase in the total number of Parcel Lockers by 66% year on year – to over 20,000 machines (20,367 Parcel Lockers – a total of 2.6 million boxes, which corresponds to an increase in by 70% y / y). As at the end of 2021, as much as 90% of new caches in Poland belonged to InPost, the company announced.
In 2021, the group’s capital expenditure increased by 74% y / y to PLN 935.6 million – mainly due to the dynamic expansion of the Paczkomaty network in Poland and Great Britain and through investments in logistics infrastructure in Poland. Capital expenditures in the country increased by 41% y / y and accounted for 76% of the total capital expenditures of the group, the report also said.
The growth of InPost in Poland exceeded the growth of the e-commerce market in all products, the company emphasized.
The volume of parcels in Paczkomaty InPost increased by 44% in 2021 compared to an increase in the volume of e-commerce in the entire market by 19%. This resulted in an increase in InPost’s share in the B2C market from 44% in 2020 to 48% in 2021.
The increase in revenues from Paczkomaty in the financial year 2021 amounted to 44.6%, and the adjusted EBITDA profit for the entire year increased by 53% compared to the previous year. Adjusted EBITDA margin of InPost in Poland increased to 46.1% in 2021 from 41.3% in 2020.
There are on average more lockers in 16,445 InPost parcel lockers in Poland than in the devices of competing companies. In 2021, the total number of InPost lockers in Poland increased from 1.48 million to 2.41 million. This increase accounted for 90% of all new net lockers on the market. market, which means that at the end of 2021, InPost had 96% of all existing lockers in Poland. According to the volume of parcels, it is estimated that InPost’s share in the locker market in 2021 reached 98%.
The expansion of the Paczkomaty network helped to significantly increase the list of entities using InPost services in Poland by as much as 27% in 2021. Currently, there are over 38,000 online stores, which thanks to this cooperation benefit from a higher level of end customer satisfaction and cost advantages compared to traditional to-door courier deliveries, the company also pointed out.
At the end of 2021, InPost had over 9.2 million active users of the application, which means an increase by 41% during the year. The InPost mobile application has become the second most downloaded commercial application in Poland, and at the same time the best rated in Poland in its segment.
Research carried out by an independent research company in March 2022 shows that the utilization of InPost parcel lockers is 62 times greater in the same locations as the parcel machines of competitors and amounts to an average of 75 parcels per day vs 1.2 parcels.

This translates into our industry-leading NPS (Net Promoter Score), a measure of customer recognition for our services.
